Meet the Staff
Our dynamic and well-educated staff is here to assist you with all of your dental needs. We strive to make your visit with us as comfortable as possible and can answer all of your questions before and after your appointment. Our entire staff is cross-trained and certified in Basic Life Support. We are determined to make your experience pleasant and convenient in a stress-free environment.
Administrative Staff
We have a friendly, experienced front office staff who are well trained in healthcare and insurance policies. We are familiar with all dental procedures and welcome your questions and concerns. We are here to assist you in understanding and verifying your dental policies, as we recognize the confusion. As a courtesy, we are happy to bill any dental insurance carriers.
Dental Assistants
Our compassionate, well trained staff is specifically knowledgeable in all dental procedures we perform. We only use the most reliable, safe and proven materials. We are proud to be OSHA compliant and adhere to strict infection control guidelines.
Dental Hygienists
Our dental hygienists are experienced, thorough and strive to maintain healthy oral tissue. We are proud of our computerized gum exams and will try to answer all questions you may have relating to oral hygiene maintenance.
Meet Dr. Bolkema
A lifelong resident of Grand Rapids, Dr. Bolkema has been practicing dentistry since 1979. He graduated from Calvin College with a BS degree in 1975 and continued on to the University of Michigan Dental School where he received his general dentistry degree in 1979. Dr. Bolkema has over 800 hours of continuing education since graduation and concentrates in aesthetics, cosmetic dentistry and implant restorations.
Currently, Dr. Bolkema is an active member of the American Dental Association, Kent County Dental Society and the Michigan Dental Association. Dr. Bolkema has served on the Peer Review Committee and the Children Dental Health Week Committee.
In addition to spending time with his wife, Sheila of 36 years, Dr. Bolkema enjoys time with his four daughters and six grandchildren. Dr. Bolkema is a member of the Christian Church. In his free time, Dr. Bolkema is an avid snowmobiler, loves golf and takes pride in jewelry making. He also attends many college football games.
